ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Jarrod and I'm from Southern California. I currently am an exchange student in Freiburg, Germany and I am here until June. I am not actually studying but working in a trade here. I try to have fun and get out and experience new things. I'm pretty open minded and a team player. I try to make things work and get along with all kinds of people. You could call me a pretty simple, easy going guy. I also am very into sports and being outdoors.

Sure I could probably talk more about me but I rather talk about me while learning about somebody else at the same time. face to face is great.

PHILOSOPHY

There's always more things to learn. I am trying to make the most I can out of life seeing new things and expanding my knowledge of other cultures, languages and learning the people that live on this world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this still. I plan to travel the first half of June before I go back home. I am willing to meet other Surfers and exchange cultures and stories, drink a few beers together. I am trying to see more of the world while trading stories, cultures, having good conversations and having an enjoyable time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't surfed a couch yet but I plan to and meet new people in the process!

Interests

My interests include, woodworking, staying active, traveling, hittin up the beach. I enjoy trying new things, from adventures to eating new foods and learning new cultures. I really try to stay involved in sports, mainly wrestling. I've been doing that for quite a while now and I enjoy it. I like CrossFit training and being outdoors doing something. Hiking, Beachin it up, running, something!

Music, Movies, and Books

I hear a wide range of music but what I listen to the most is Country music and a little southern rock.

I don't read enough unfortunately but I try to pick up a book from time to time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am living for a year abroad. I feel that that is pretty good in its self. Hopefully I can do more things abroad.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help someone with their English and I am still intermediate in German but I want to become fluent. Learning a little from a few other languages wouldn't be bad either! When I'm at home, I can always try to share a little bit of my hometown and the area I live in. As for learning, I am always trying to learn more.
