I'm happy with the company of an inquisitive teenager to a hundred year old, as long as they have a passion for something, an open mind, humour, warmth, and an honest personality.

I love to meet local people, see their corner of the planet. Staying in hotels is too isolated and prevents me from getting the full joy of travel. Ultimately, the people are more important than the places I see.

One of my many failings is that I read a lot of non-fiction but I'm far too lazy to read novels. Often I ask, please give me the gist of the story in two pages!
