My name is Jason. I have been living in the United States since the Summer of 2012. I have spent the past year living and working in New york city, whilst making frequent trips to the Las Vegas area to visit my significant other.

I have realized that the best way to experience a new town is through the eyes of someone with great local knowledge, something that is hard o attain when staying in hotels by yourself

I have had other friends from Australia telling me of their positive experiences with couch surfing in the United States and abroad, and they have highly recommended it to me

Am yet to host anyone, as I have been travelling alot by myself. Hope to be in a position to host later in the year.

Have surfed with people in Nevada, New York, and New Jersey. Nothing put positive experiences

Varied. I have a deep seeded love for America and its people. they interest me alot.

In Australia, I was involved in the performing arts. I have a strong musical background, playing drums for specific bands for 12 years.

I also work in staging as a technician in leading theatres in my home town of Melbourne.

During the past year I have worked for a range of leading event production and theatrical companies in the New York City/New Jersey area. Also landed a teaching job working for School of Rock

I am pretty lucky in that I won a green card to live in the United States. Theses are quite difficult to attain due to the stringent criteria the US government require, coupled with the random nature of the ballot.

books: love biographies of people that inspire me. currently reading "life" by keith richards

Movies: Kevin Smith productions are a big favourite, like movies that make me smile.Again difficult to list here as the list is so great. and people are judgemental!

Climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Hiked Angel's Landing lookout at Zion National park, Utah. Hiked through the main vortexes of Sedona.

Left all my close family and friends behind in Australia to embark on an indefinate quest in the great United States of America. All things going well, it will one day become home
