About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To continue on in my merry little way, taking the long way around

ABOUT ME

Would love to continue finding small ways to save the world one little it at a time. This time through Education. The travel bug is something I still havent found a wonder drug to cure, but can't say I have ever looked either. My RSPCA dog that was on death row is the love of my life and the ocean is something that gives me goosebumps just at the sight of it. Reading is something I wish I could do for the most part of my life but is all the more special when I'm on the road.

PHILOSOPHY

Basic and recycled but simple and
When I was born into this world, I was crying and those around me were laughing. I live my life so that when I inevitably die, those around me will be crying, and I will be laughing.
Crying is the second best food for the mind, body and soul. Laughing is the best.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Very new to this but excited to get more involved!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great story, a couple of guys from the US came and stayed who ended up knowing the American girls who I lived with over a Summer whilst lobster fishing off the coast of Maine. Knew all about these two guys, through the many drunken stories the girls told, and then they randomly showed up to stay...neither of us having any idea what was about to happen. It still makes me smile thinking about the moment I realised all of this was happening, and I could sit down and share my experiences of Maine with two people that knew everything about it.

Interests

Travel of course is my passion, reading, mainly philosophy, good coffee and great company, learning from and about others, saving the world bit by bit, giving blood, organising charity events, the beach, my dog, my family and the friends who have and continue to make me who I am

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything written by Paulo Ceulo, however the cult book The Alchemist would have to be my least favourite.
Music - anything but heavy metal and old school rock that has been played to death.
Love writing for my own pleasure i.e. yes, have a dream to write a book someday like everyone else, would just never publish it.
Fav movies, Closer and Crash

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

NOt so sure anything is amazing but things i have enjoyed the most are the hitch hiking and hiking trip through the Yukon and Alaska by myself... and lobster fishing in Maine.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would love a hand learning Spanish come mid year
Teach others what i know and soak up what I don't from others. Love the challenge of getting people to realise their potential, to motivate them and to leave them to their successes.
