ABOUT ME

We are Jasper and Shira. One day we decided we hadn't seen enough of the country in which we were born, so we quit our jobs and bought a minivan and put a bed in back. Since April 2011 We've been traveling around the US and exploring things. Also accompanying us is a 2 year old terrier mix named Laika (like the russian space dog). She's pretty small, about 17 pounds, and is a very good dog that is well trained and friendly. Also gets along with other nice dogs of all sizes and nice cats too.

As for us, we are nice, open minded and pretty laid back peoples. We love to meet other fun people and learn about the weirdness of their small towns and big cities. And sometimes get shitfaced with them and romp around said towns, go to their swimming holes, catch their frogs, eat local delicacies, make tacos, go camping, do handstands, etc.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, sleeping on your floor or couch. But if we ever settle down somewhere we will totally host other surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Shira has couchsurfed a lot in Europe and has had many good times and met friends. Together, we couch surfed in Louisiana for the first time on this trip and met a bunch of great people that we still stay in contact with.
