About Me
Hey, nice to meet you!:)
We are Fiona and me - Jasmin, two girls from Germany and - to be honest - couchsurfing newcomers. We met each other half a year ago in our Erasmus in Riga (Latvia). Now we want to travel through Scandinavia via interrail for the next month and are super excited for the upcoming adventures.
We are open to making you a part of our journey and get to know you better. However, it’s up to you if you want to spend time with us or not.
Get in touch with us over the app or whatsapp (+4915789337572).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We want to discover Scandinavia without set deadlines or instagram must-sees. Our plan is to stay where we like the vibe and stay as spontaneous as possible. We don't want to take away the flexibility we gain from the interrail ticket by booking hotel stays in advance.
We want to get to know the people who actually live in the cities and regions we want to visit and not sink into the tourism bubble, where we experience exactly what hundreds before us have already posted on instagram.
After our time in Scandinavia, we both will go home to our loveable regions in the south of Germany. Feel free to visit us there soon!

Music, Movies, and Books
Honestly, I love going to festivals and concerts, still i cannot say that i have established myself a set taste in music. I enjoy everything that fits my mood no matter if it’s 90’s rock or techo - and yes, I also have a Spotify playlist on German folks music. Besides that, I really love listening to Podcasts.
I’m down for almost every movie or series night! I have to admit that I am totally susceptible to netflix hypes. And ashamedly I also admit that I have seen only a few classic films so far... but I am working on it,
Especially when I’m traveling, I love to read along the way. Lately I'm increasingly trying to get my hands on classics - admittedly not always with success. I'm currently reading "The Alchemist '' by Paulo Coelho. My last binge read was "the lying life of adults" by Elena Ferrante and next on the list is "Deutschland schwarz weiß" by Noah Sow.
When it comes to movies and music, Fiona and I are totally different. So far we still have always found a common ground.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Over the last few months we’ve collected several unforgettable moments. From walking in snowshoes in Lappland, partying in a rave in an old airport, up to drinking us through almost every cute, little coffee place in Riga - we are excited to share the memories of our semester abroad with you.
Besides that my life is not about the one amazing thing I’ve done or achieved. I did several little things that sum up to the life I was lucky to live so far - and I hope there is so much more to come.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As far as you want to, we are happy to share our culture, our stories and our free time with you. We also enjoy cooking and sharing our food in good company.
Besides the German culture, we can share a little bit of the Latvian culture with a shot of typical latvian “Riga balsam” we brought to share - some Latvians even said it has curative effects…
