About Me

Hey there :)

I am a 27 year old, half Egyptian woman from Germany, who loves to practice languages (maybe the only half egyptian who doesnt't speak Arabic haha - but currently learning it) and to meet different people. I enjoy travelling, dreaming away, landscapes, dancing, meeting new people, life, and good conversations. Right now, I am trying somehow to find my place in this world - which is not always easy tbh :p

I want to see the world, to live like the locals, try their food, understand their culture, and simply make as many experiences as possible. The world is too big and life is too short to stay at only one place ;)

Before I started university, I had been travelling quite a lot, and I am a big fan of slow travelling, which means to stay for a longer time in a place or country. I have done a lot of volunteering (Workaway), and I loved every single experience. Couchsurfing and Workaway are my all-time favourite ways of travelling. :) Staying a little longer in a place allows us to really engage with the culture on a deeper level, and I simply love that so much!

My life looked a little bit different in the past years, more settled, I would say, as I studied German Language Teaching and Arabic at university. Then, a little dream of mine became reality in 2023: living in Egypt! What's coming next? I don't know.. who knows anyway? :D

.. now I know: Since October 2024, I have been living in Ghana 🇬🇭 and will stay for one year (or longer.. who knows)✨️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's the spirit, definitely the spirit. CS has this special spirit. It's about making friends of different cultures, religions, countries. We are all different and yet the same, right? I just love to discover a country or culture with a local. I love places where no tourists are (as long as it's safe), because these are the places where countries don't try to impress the world and are just authentic.

The people I met so far from CS were the most generous and lovely people I ever met. As one guy once said to me: “We share the world!“ So let's share experiences, stories, ideas, thoughts, the way we see the world and maybe a way to make this world a better place :))
