About Me

Hello everyone,
I‘m Jasmin and 19 years old.
Since i‘ve just finished School in Germany, I am taking a gap year in order to experience new and exciting things outside the borders. In the future I am planning to study marine biology but beforehand I want to travel the world. 😊
My first trip to Japan will start in April 2019. In Tokyo I‘m going to study japanese at a language school until the end of June. After that, I want to travel around and explore the country and the beautiful nature of Japan. I am hoping to find a lot of warm-hearted people there. I am definitely very excited to meet you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I‘m a very open minded person and interested in all different cultures and languages in this world. So I am here to start learning from others and to gain experience by exploring the world and the people.

Interests

In my freetime, I’m dancing, playing the piano or reading books. I dance around 10 hours a week. Besides I have a huge 200 gallon fish tank in which I keep and breed african cichlids.

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of music, I like Indie artists such as Dodie and Daughter. As I‘m mostly interested in Japan, I often watch japanese movies and I would definitely recommend watching „Umimachi Diary“. Although I don’t have that much time to read a lot of books, I sometimes would consider myself a bookworm when it comes to fantasy books of authors like Terry Pratchett, Walter Moers or Neil Gaiman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am sure my best experience will be my 4 month trip to Japan beginning in April 2019.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I‘m half danish and half german because I grew up bilingually, I can teach you both languages. Furthermore, my hobbys are dancing contemporary, singing and playing the piano- so I could show you some things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you‘re also learning Japanese, English or French, I‘d be glad if we could help each other. Or we could exchange our languages. In general, I like to learn all languages the world has to offer.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In
