Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm using Couchsurf for an upcoming trip to the USA. I'll be in NYC (May 27 - June 3) for a week before I go off to work for three months. I want to use Couchsurf for the cultural exchange so it's a bonus if you can show me some cool places! After NYC, I'm going to wing it from the East Coast to the West Coast within a month from the end of August to the end of September. Im on a budget. Although I'm an adrenaline junkie, I'm very chill. I like to see real places with real people, slightly off the beaten track.
