About Me
I love stories and the best way to live a great story is to go on an adventure.
Since I first backpacked solo the West coast of Australia at 18 for 6 weeks, I have had many adventures, met many amazing people and have built up a good library of stories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If there is anything I have learned, it is that the best adventures start with great people. Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to really get to know people... something that is hard to do in our digital age.
Interests
- new places

Music, Movies, and Books
Book: English Patient by Michael Ondaatje
Movies: The Lord of the Rings... Two Towers is the best
Music: so, so, so many options, but I do have a tendency to find myself loving almost all Canadian Indie
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For some context - I am a very tame and conflict avoiding person, and this story is officially the only time (save for the classic teenage daughter to mother spats) where I actually got into a voice raising fight with someone.
I had a screaming fight with my French roomate in the middle of the Red Square in Moscow over the fact that I believe strongly in gay marriage and the rights of gays to adopt.
I have done a lot of amazing things... but looking back at them all, this one really sticks with me: 1) I never fight, but I felt so passionate about this issue that I did 2) my French is good enough to really get into a heated debate with a native speaker and 3) Somehow I didn't get arrested by Russia police....
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully some enjoyable stories.
Some great home cooked meals.
A bit of a tidy - I always live by the adage 'leave a space you stay at better than when you arrived'.
