Overview
About Me
I enjoy living a layed back West coast lifestyle and indulging in the bounty the islands are known for ( yes I am 420 friendly). I try my best to be kind to the environment and appreciate the islands and pride myself on using Island products whenever possible. Food security and sustainability are highly important to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have the travel bug, now that my son is independent and living on his own, I want to have some adventure time. I like the idea of exploring new places with the help of a local, I want to see more than just tourist hotspots. I try to learn some ethnic cooking and arts while I travel so having a local point me in the right direction or share their interests would be much appreciated. And basically I just really enjoy the company and opportunity to meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
We have a fantastic indie music scene in Victoria and would gladly join you for a show. I personally like indie alternative rock, folk and ska music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteered nursing following the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be pleased to teach you how to crab (we have Dungeness and Red rock here), take you to some amazing hiking spots or practice your English with you. I like going for garden walks, as Victoria has some lovely, native parks.
What I Can Share with Hosts
You can definitely expect to have a comfy, clean couch to crash on and depending on circumstances a bedroom to yourself. I live a 15 minute walk from downtown and inner harbour, and my neighbourhood is very eclectic and walkable.
