About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make the most of my time out of the workforce and explore the great European continent. Go to as many places as possible and meet as many interesting and diverse people as possible... Continue to develop myself and my world knowledge.
ABOUT ME
I'm 23, and a recent graduate. I've been living in Sydney for the last few years working in events/marketing, but I've decided to reignite the travel bug and backpack across Europe before settling in London on a working holiday visa.
Over the past few months, I have celebrated with my family in Madrid, attended a wedding in London, hiked the Great Glen Way and climbed Ben Nevis in Scotland, partied my way across Edinburgh and Amsterdam and faced my slight fear of the moshpit at a music festival in Germany.
Perhaps you'll be the next part of my European adventure, whether it's in Munich, Tenerife, Montpellier or Barcelona!
PHILOSOPHY
I live in the pursuit of happiness, as most people do. Right now, I'm 23, a recent graduate and still trying to figure out the balance between being a serious adult/preparing for my future and enjoying life in the moment. So I'm really passionate about hearing how others have done it, understanding different cultures and just learning about all the million things I'm oh-so-clueless about (it seems the more I learn, the more I realise how little I know). I want to ignore the fear and say yes to every opportunity, and show that to others so they can have the confidence to jump in too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Locals do it better. In fact, locals do it the best. Whenever I had friends or a friend of a friend visit Sydney, I would love taking them out! Because I knew all the nifty little speak easy bars, the best burgers on the east coast, or where you can find adorable boutiques and vintage tees, etc. And I also know how much fun it is to release these secrets to someone who appreciates them. I guess that's what couch surfing is about, giving (hosting) and receiving (staying) and enjoying both roles.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A FEW THINGS I WOULD SUGGEST EVERYONE TRY
Hike the Great Glen Way
or do something else that let's you go without communicating for hours on end
Climb Ben Nevis
or another mountain so you can appreciate your body for something other than aesthetics
Go to a Music Festival where you don't speak the language
and lose yourself in the crowd rather than the lyrics
