CURRENT MISSION

I want to meet as many people as I can and learn as much from them as possible, be it the smallest most pointless skill, or the lifechanging experiences. And I want to discover the world through cooking!

ABOUT ME

Friendly, Funny, outgoing and approachable. Very energetic and not at all lazy. Keep to help people out and practical. A bit bossy. An amazing chef! Happiest when feeding people and always willing to cook. Spontanious! my sister says I live my life on a whim. I don't like to plan things too much. Life is unpredictable and exiting, overplanning stifles me. I'm very creative, passionate and strong minded.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to find some sort of pleasure in everything I do, it keeps me happy and positive. The small things in life can be just as pleasing and the extreme things, some days Just having a really good cup of tea is enough to keep me smiling all day; equally a succesfull rock climb will keep me buzzing for weeks.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently traveling and would really appreciate any couches to stay on and surfers to meet! I work on superyachts, so can't offer couches I'm afraid, but when I return to land again I will be happy to open my house to travelers like me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've only stayed on one couch, that was in the Isle of wight for a week with a lovely family, made such good friends with Amber's 8 year old son Greg I missed my ferry home because he wouldn't let go of me!
I'm loving how quickly positive responses come from couch requests, people on this website are so happy to share whatever they can, it's a great way to live!

Interests

I'm extremely passionate about cooking, I do it everyday as a job, and when I get home I love to cook food for my friends, family and housemates. I love cycling, and am almost happier on my bike than I am on my feet! I also love rock climbing and anything that involves being out doors, mountaineering, kayaking, slackline! Nature, and wildlife. Books, films, plays, art. And music is so important. I find meeting new people and making new friends inspiring and exiting. I want to to travel and learn about food in other countries, I feel there is so much out there I'm missing out on and so much I can experience and learn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first serious deep water solo rock climb in Pembroke South Wales.
Climbing the mountain out the back of my home in North Wales on my own, the clouds, sun and sky were incredible and the view was so moving I had to shout out.
Visiting the Bone Church in Kutna Hora near Prague, don't exactly know how I felt about it but I was lost for words and very moved.
Seeing 116 shooting stars from the roof of our guesthouse high up in the mountains of south India.
Diving with a Dugong in the andaman sea just off Neil Island, I almost cried it was so incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

i would love to learn some languages, I only have english and welsh! Would love to learn spanish, french or italian. But equally I enjoy anything people have to share. And am always keen to pass on my own knowledge.
