Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Jasmine.
I'm a graduate student in Berlin where I study public policy. Originally from the States, I'm a proud Southerner and food lover. Politics junkie. Wine enthusiast. And I was a cheerleader for 8 years in high school and college--so I've got a ton of energy and a bubbly personality.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My landlord just gave me a surprise 30 day notice and the Berlin housing market is brutal. I'm in need of a place to stay until I can fix my life and find more stable accommodations.
Interests
Politics. Wine. Museums. Beer gardens. Music (hip hop, soul, r&b). I love sunbathing, yoga, clubs, libraries, and coffeeshops.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Lion King & Children of Men are really great movies.
If you're even vaguely interested in political communications--Constructing the Political Spectacle by Murray Edelman is phenomenal.
If not, just re-read Harry Potter. It never gets old ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was the invited guest of the Mayor of Jericho this one time. I got to sit in a desert oasis (a lemon garden) in Jericho and talk water policy--absolutely fascinating--with the mayor. He put us up in the Intercontinental Hotel for the first night and then we got to stay in an amazing Monestary just on the outskirts of the city. The monestary was way cooler.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach....I know a lot about US foreign and domestic policy? Or yoga.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A tiny ball of energy who will keep things tidy, not make weird sounds in the bathroom (I live in a flat where one room is an airbnb and it happens), and I absolutely will not complain if there's no elevator in your building. And, as an added bonus, I can always lull you to sleep with a rousing discussion of various trends in public policy.
