Hi there. My name's Jasmin.

I'm in my second year of my teaching degree and while I’ll definitely pursue teaching as a career, I still plan on travelling lots. I love exploring and take my time to appreciate the little things in life and smile at the beauty around me. I've gone wilderness camping every summer since I was in diapers, so it's fair to say that I love the outdoors (lakes, mountains, jungles, forests, you name it). I'd choose the billion star hotel over the 5 star one any day.

I love eating, trying new foods, and cooking. I'm always up for trying the regional cuisine. I also grew up as a classical pianist, so it's great to find people to play duets with. I love reading and am open to book suggestions.

I'm bubbly, curious, easy going, and adventurous. I also like to consider myself a considerate person (I will help you wash the dishes and fold up the blankets).

I don't dislike cities, but I'm definitely happiest out in nature and in smaller villages. That's not to say I don't know how to have a wild night out on the town though!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

September 2018 I did my first solo hike in the Adirondacks, NY. I summited Giant Mountain and Rocky Peak Ridge and then woke up at 4am the next day to do a sunrise hike up Phelps. It was magical seeing all the stars and then being the only one on the peak as the sun came up.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a bit of French or English during my stay, and how to make hollandaise sauce, lemon dill salmon, cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies, banana bread, or the easiest AF cake. I’d love to learn a bit of the language you speak, taste the food you like to eat, and experience your culture the way you do.

I also love cooking and would be happy to help you in making a homemade meal.

I actually really love grocery shopping, so if you have groceries you need to buy but don't have time to do so, I will gladly pick them up for you.
