Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I can't believe that such a brilliant thing exists! Couch surfing is AWESOME!

Obviously having a nights accommodation for free is useful for a budget traveller but this is so much more than that. A chance to get to know locals, immerse yourself in different cultures and make contacts all over the world, maybe even lifelong friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- Huge part of my life, my collection predominantly consists of indie, rock, new wave but I appreciate all great music from jazz/blues to classical to metal.

Movies- Movie addict, all genres. Massive Star Wars nerd...

Books- Mainly non-fiction. Travel writing- Rolf Potts is my travel guru! Others would be Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens, Tim Ferriss. Fiction- Paulo Coelho, Alex Garland.

Climbed the 'forbidden' Haiku Stairs on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Also known as the 'Stairway to Heaven'.

Rode camel back into the Western Sahara with only Moon glow to lead the way and camped under the stars.

I volunteered to help build a school for under privileged children in Romania. An eye-opening and truly amazing experience.
