I'm an outdoors-loving bachelor student currently on exchange in Copenhagen, Denmark and seeking to travel. I enjoy cross country skiing, hiking, camping, history, art, and of course good food!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

On a student's budget and eager to see as much of the world as possible! I also enjoy the social aspect of spending a few nights with complete strangers, getting to know some incredible people with fascinating stories.

Interests

I love the outdoors so I try to go hiking, cross country skiing, camping, fishing, etc. as much as possible. I also really enjoy art and history so museums and galleries are always great. Perhaps most of all, though, I love to try new and delicious foods wherever I go.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music and film taste is pretty broad, but some of my favorite books include the His Dark Materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman, The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien, and A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the incredible opportunity to spend a few days and nights in a longhouse with some Dayak people in Central Kalimantan, Borneo, Indonesia. There I visited a couple of schools to teach crafts while the men from the longhouse taught us how to make and use fishing nets, prepare traditional meals, and harvest durian.
