About Me

For the past 13 years I have been traveling for my job. My company sent me all kinds of places but I rarely had a chance to do anything I wanted to do while I was there. At the end of 2017 I replaced my job with plans to travel on my own terms and really truly enjoy life.

Now, I am working on creating my story. The story that will: inspire my nieces and nephews, make my friends get off the couch, make a stranger feel more confident, and most importantly outlive myself.

I am vegetarian and that scares(or offends) some people. Meat eaters, I assure you I am not a meat hater; I ate meat for 34 years but finally realized my body is happier without it. Vegans, yes I still eat cheese. What can I say I love the stuff.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing for two reasons.

First, I want to meet more people while I am out traveling.

Second, I feel like Couchsurfing opens up areas to travelers that may not have been able to visit otherwise.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music but lately Lord Huron has been stuck in my head.

I will typically give any movie a shot but my favorites are detective movies, adventure movies, and cult classics.

I read a lot of old travel books, lots of books written by sailors, and mysteries. Oh and I can't forget my love for old wooden boat books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't consider anything I have done so far to be amazing. But I will keep trying.

I have: run a marathon, hot air ballooned in the Grand Canyon, and lived in a tent in the mountains of Colorado.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure what I could teach...unless you would like to know more about industrial control systems.

I am great at troubleshooting and fixing things. If there is something I could help you with let me know.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sometimes I go to an area for a specific reason and sometimes I go just to see what an area is all about. If you would like, you are welcome to take part in whatever I am doing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Chile, England, Germany, Mexico, Namibia, Trinidad and Tobago
