About Me

Hi! I'm almost graduated from The Evergreen State College. Trying to keep those last few credits from dropping in too fast.

I'm trying to do my best at a crossroads in life. Resolving to work hard and play hard, and hopefully keep moving and motivated. Currently home base is my family in Colorado.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For adventures away from home that may take me off the beaten path of my known friends, such as the one I just finished.

For times when I and my living situation are in good shape to help others land when on their away-missions.

Interests

Inklings of dreams for the future:

Play wind instruments in pit orchestras

Get a job in the stage band on a cruise ship

Take more classes at The Evergreen State College and some-year soon, graduate

Build a breadth of skills and knowledge for recycling and repurposing the everyday sorts of objects generated by modern life--I'm interested in inspiring better skills and vision for how households aquire stuff, use it, organize it, share it, give it away, and dispose of it.

Organize a group in the suburban environment of my youth to engage in public education, activism, organizing community events, and above all create a way for people to engage in issues that effect us all and but are so often left in isolation in affluent big-box America.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

3 years ago, I took a greyhound and rideshare trip to see Jethro Tull's 40 anniversary tour of Thick as a Brick. I planned on seeing the show once, maybe twice. I took a gamble to see two shows in Ohio, ended up taking a late greyhound from Cincinnatti to Akron, skateboarding from the station to the theater in time to catch the last few strains of Thick as a Brick before intermission. The second half of the concert was completely wonderful though I missed the album of legend. The next day, a failed hitchicking experience left me stranded in Wooster, where instead of watching the show in Columbus i cried myself to sleep listening to the original on my ipod. The next day, I canvassed for Obama in Wooster and watched the election results with the office there, as it was election day.

I promise if i have a stay with you it wont be as quixotic.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm very happy and open to do work-trade. Get up early and do one or two hours of something, from washing the dishes to working on a project.
