About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Positive Mind, Positive Attitude. Positive Life

ABOUT ME

Originally from Nutley, NJ (12 mi west of NYC). I am currently a doctoral student and fellow at the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute at Texas A&M University - Kingsville where I am conducting research on the endangered ocelot in southern Texas. I have a M.S. in Forestry and a B.S. in Conservation & Wildlife Management.

I am a very laid back easy going person, 6'7'' tall, friendly, outgoing person, love to try and experience new things and visit new areas.

PHILOSOPHY

Follow your dreams where every they may take you and don't stop until you reach them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To experience areas I travel to from the local perspective, gain insights on local cultures and customs you wouldn't otherwise get staying in hotels and doing the touristy things.

Interests

I love working out, hiking, kayaking, being outdoors. Huge sports fan, love to discuss and such, big fan of learning new cultures and experimenting with different types of food/musics. Love to cook, travel, hangout with friends, can be a home-body at times. Passion is mammals and wildlife ecology and conservation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Had a one-on-one encounter with a mountain lion (~50 ft). Stared down the 150 plus pound cat for 10 minutes before it decided I wasn't worth pursuing/attacking. It had a fundamental impact on my view/life that I was meant to do something in this world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Life as a wildlife biologist in training
I grew up in the most densely populated part of the country, 12 miles west of NYC, yet I desire to work in the wilderness/or on the edge of the forested areas. Love to travel, learn different cultures

What I Can Share with Hosts

Insights on wildlife and natural environment, living in the most densely populated part of the USA, Italian-american culture, cooking different types of dishes, long deep conversations about life and etc,
