Overview
About Me
Well, my name is Jason and I am a 10th generation Falkland Islander. I have lived in the Falkland Islands all of my life except for a 5 year break where I lived in New Zealand.
I'm very work orientated, but I do enjoy socialising and meeting new people.
I currently work at the water treatment plant, so i can assure you that the tap water here is second to none! 🤣 I worked as Senior Coxswain for a local shipping agency for almost 10 years and in that job I ran a jetty and three pilot vessels, working the jetty allowed me to meet sailing yachts from all over the world and meet new people almost on a daily basis!
My wife Talia and I have two beautiful daughters, Ava 11 and Kaia 10 who are our world and we also have a cat who I'm sure was born to be a seal, she spends more time in the water than out!
I have a huge passion (just like my cat), well, love for the sea and spend every chance I can to get on it or in it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to show off the Falkland Islands for the great beauty that it holds! Anyone coming here will have a warm place to stay and we can show you the true meaning of beauty.
