About Me
Hello! I have never really realized it until recently that I'm a wanderer at heart. This has lead to strolling into unusual places or scenarios throughout Toronto, Latin America, the US, the Caribbean, and Europe! I'm someone who is not highly competitive but enjoys social activities and in my alone time I predominantly spend it meditating, creating new recipes, observing art, meeting new people, and watching tv. I'm a currently a senior medical student studying to become a psychiatrist. Although most people run from this field, I found out I had a knack for handling mental trauma quite well and am glad to be able to offer this to the world.
I have been travelling the US Eastern seaboard from Cape Cod to Miami for medical rotations in hospitals for the past year and will continue to do so for about another year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friend told me all about it and I was amazed to hear his stories of such a community existing. I currently travel throughout the US on rotations for med school for about 4+wks at any given location. Since I'm always trying to find places to live where the landlord or other students are there who are sociable and enjoy hanging out, I realized this site perfectly tailored to my need!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is pretty broad as I appreciate a good song, rather than a genre. On pandora, two door cinema club, the smashing pumpkins, gramatik, and hipster cocktail party are the radio stations I often listen to.
Movies aren't frequent but Sicario and Jurassic World are two I recently watched and liked.
Books include scriptures from various communities since I find it fascinating how billions of people follow just a few faiths and how their actions are subconsciously shaped by them, even if they are turned atheists. I have read the Bhagavad Gita, Buddhist Scriptures, Old and New Testament, and Koran
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
White water rafting down level 4 rapids on the Cauhita River in Costa Rica. I had a team of 17 boats, and the 5 people left behind by everyone else paired up with me. As a team we worked together and ended up finishing in second place after starting off last. It was incredible to see the team come together when half of them couldn't even swim and were terrified of water, which I found out in the middle of the expedition!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd be glad to show you how to meditate, help you find resolve in your life, create efficient (usually vegan) recipes, and give you an intro to eastern traditions and culture.
It would help to work on my spanish, and be fun to learn how to rock climb, or taught something artistic related.
Having dinner together or doing something at the end of the day. After returning from the hospital and getting some work done when I come home, I aim to have the evening free to hang out.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you take care of your own things, you're welcome to use everything of mine if its available. Also, I was raised by a handyman father, so if you need to fix things around the house or a 2nd assist with home or car projects, I can lend a hand if i'm not busy.
