Présentation
À propos de moi
I am positive, upbeat, curious about everything, open minded. I love my life. Lately it seems like everything is going my way.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I have the opportunity to enjoy a free flight to Europe...but I don't have money to do expensive hotels and tours for more than a few days...so Couch surfing, ride sharing, and meeting local people who can show me the best parts of their country without breaking the bank on expensive tours will help me expand a few days into a couple weeks of adventure.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I like a few different kinds of music, but usually gravitate towards songs that get my body moving and grooving. I like to dance badly!
Favourite movies: Memento, Monty Python Quest For The Holy Grail, The Matrix Series, Astronaut Farmer, Buried.
I maintain a library membership so I can borrow lots of books that I don't have time to read. Mostly my bookshelves are filled with nonfiction books about personal growth, success, screenwriting, acting. Some of my favourite fiction includes 1984 & The Shack,
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Once I signed up for a personal growth weekend only a couple days before the event was to begin. The facilitator told me, that I had to prepare for one of the activities ahead of time. That activity was to get up and sing in front of the other participants. There were two criteria:
1 I didn't have to sing well, or even sing something fancy...I just had to get up in front of the other participants and do it.
2. I had to push my performance to the point where I was unfomfortable. Someone with massive stage fright would be celebrated for even singing happy birthday. However, If being on stage didn't frighten me, then I would have to challenge myself to perform at a level that would make me uncomfortable.
So, I pondered the challenge. I knew I didn't sing particularly well, and wouldn't be an opera singer in 48 hours. But I had very recently written a song and STARTED started to write a guitar tune for it. So I would practice the song and the guitar tune as best I could before the show. Again, it might not sound professional in 48 hours, but that didn't scare me. Heck I might not even have the song memorized in 48 hours, and might forget the words...that made me a little nervous. But I wasn't scared yet. I could try dancing to the song. but again dancing, is not scary. So I decided to strip during the song. I didn't give anyone a heads up...I got up there fully clothed, and started to sing, and at specific lines in the song, I removed another piece of clothing. 3/4 of the way through the song I was naked, and had forgotten the rest of the lyrics, but I stood there buck naked, forcing my self to sing the lyrics as I remembered them until I had floundered through to the very last word of the song. Moral of the story...be careful what challenge you issue me... you might get far more than you bargained for. :^)
