About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be in Bangalore (Bangaluru) for a few days in January 2019 on the way back from a conference. It would be great to meet some locals or ex pats to learn more about Bangalore!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Great Expectations, Catcher in the Rye, The Outsider, The World According to Garp

Music: Indie, Folk, Rock, etc. I love hearing new music. Bands that I've never heard before. I enjoy pretty much any genre live.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Successfully performed the Heimlich Manoeuvre.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach conversational English, basic counselling skills, and have a decent working knowledge of human sleep architecture, needs, and disorders. I can help make budget spreadsheets if you're a freelancer/small business owner, or even just for your household. I particularly like building custom investment portfolio projection calculators. They take quite a lot of time to build so maybe I could help you out with something simple to start with.

I'm pretty open minded and non-judgemental, which also makes me a good sounding board. I like to learn about other cultures and what it's like living day-to-day in other parts of the world. Recently I have become more interested in politics and how other nations are governed.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a wide variety of dishes and never use recipes (so I can improvise with what I can buy locally and what you have around the house). Also, as above, I have had a lot of deeply personal conversations both professionally and privately. I usually wouldn't mention that as I try to only have these when appropriate (or when drunk), but these sorts of deep connections seem to be in the spirit of CS.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Netherlands, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Slovakia, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, United States, Vanuatu, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
