About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have a bucket list that is looking to be conquered!!

ABOUT ME

I have a list of things I want to do and places to go... I'm going to do this!!

A bit quiet and shy at first, but easy to talk to and just enjoys having good company. Pushing myself to be a bit more outgoing, stepping out of my comfort bubble.

I love to travel, budget permitted ^^... been living as a poor film/tv college student for a while, recently graduated but still paying off the loans and looking to travel the world.

Currently a Foreign English teacher for an Elementary school in South Korea (near Seoul)

Please excuse me if I "Nerd Out" on things. You'll often see me wearing comic hero shirts or hats. Yes, I read comic books and play video games, but I enjoy being active, playing sports, and going out too. The perks of being a nerd in the 21st Century is that "Smart is the new sexy." ~Sherlock (BBC ONE)

I have a travel blog that I try to update weekly while I'm in South Korea and traveling. http://midnytetour.blogspot.com

I also currently run an entertainment blog with my friends, talking about our passions - Music, Movies, Television... often comic books and other things too.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone's afraid to step out of their comfort zone. Living in a tiny bubble doesn't help you grow.

Getting lost and finding your way back can be one of the best learning experiences you'll ever have. Let's get lost in the world together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting new people and learning everything I can about their world, culture and interests.

I'm down to meet people and explore too. I'm new to South Korea so I wouldn't be the best guide, but I am always game for exploring.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't hosted, or have been hosted by anyone.

I did meet some cool people (local and foreing) for coffee, lunch and sightseeing together in Korea and the Philippines.

Interests

I love watching movies, I try to look for new experiences, just enjoying the simple things in life.

I love music and I like dancing.. Not real good at it, but I dabble in a little hip hop, and ballroom. Weird mix, I know.. but I'm Filipino and my elders taught me ballroom while I grew up in the 1980-90's hip-hop culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Kpop, Korean Dramas, Japanese Dramas, Comic Books

Movies - Amazing Spider-man, Boondock Saints, Old Boy (Korean), Man from Nowhere (Korean), Battle Royale (Japanese), Kurosagi (Japanese), 500 days of Summer, Inception, James Bond Series, Architecture 101 (Korean), Star Wars, Star Trek... only a few of many..

Ask me what my favorite movie is today, it will be a different answer from yesterday's or tomorrow's.

music is a universal language, and so is dance. I love both. Blues Rock is one of my favorite sounds, Hip-Hop is in my heart.

I'm born in the 80s, a kid of the 90s, open to the future of 2000s, but my soul is quite old:
Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra, Norah Jones, Jason Mraz, C.N. Blue, 2NE1, H.O.T., NSYNC, Fiestar, Michael Jackson, Jay-Z, Wu-Tang Clan... to name a few.

Not much of a book reader, but I'm open to suggestions. I've once read the whole Lord of The Rings series in one sitting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Working at the Disney World Resorts and experiencing what the real "Disney Magic" is about. Worked there for 8 months as Front desk, met a lot of amazing people from all over the world, built friendships that will last a long time, and memories that cannot be replaced.

-One of the best moments in my life - September 2011 - Eating New York Style Pizza in the middle of Time Square with my cousins - moment that justified that it really is the little things in life that's worth the world

-Skydiving 13000ft off a perfectly good plane (I'm afraid of heights, but this was so fun and exciting)

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure what I can teach.. but if I have answers to questions asked, I'll definitely be willing to share that knowledge.

I'm willing to learn as much as I can in return.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Japan, Mexico, Philippines, South Korea
