About Me
ABOUT ME
Originally from the mid-west, but I've lived all over. I studied biology as an undergrad and worked as a field biologist for a bit, traipsing through forests, swamps, and prairies. After a couple of years, I went back to school and to study the behavioral ecology of birds. These days, I am living in Florida where I work as research and analyst (data stuff).
PHILOSOPHY
Golden Rule.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was introduced to couch surfing while living in Panama. The girls I worked/lived with would occasionally host people that were traveling though and I thought it was pretty neat.
Interests
I enjoy being outside, either hiking, walking around a city, or just sitting on a porch and enjoying a beer. I like laid-back bars and really enjoy cooking!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music-wise, I like a lot of alt/indie rock and folk type of stuff: the strokes, arctic monkeys, shout out louds, tilly and the wall, passion pit, rilo kiley/jenny lewis, mary milne, jaymay, dylan, etc.
I watch a lot of movies and enjoy anything with good writing and/or pretty cinematography. Some of my favorite movies are Lost in Translation, Igby Goes Down, Dazed & Confused, City of God.
As far as books go, I really like coming of age stories. Catcher in the Rye, A Separate Peace, Perks of Being a Wallflower
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As a biologist, living in a rain forest was a pretty neat experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I have worked with and studied birds for several years, so I guess I can help you out if you have any bird-related questions you may have! Also, I am a decent cook and always up for cooking.
