About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to live and experience as much as i can.

ABOUT ME

It's hard to describe yourself, where I should start? I like to think that I'm eloquent and composed, but to be honest I'm incredibly clumsy. I'm fun and spontaneous; i hate leaving things half done. Most of all, I love meeting new people and idea's.

PHILOSOPHY

The pursuit of happiness is my philosophy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i like to jump in to things head first and really submerse myself in the culture of what I'm doing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i haven't had any yet but i'm really looking forward to it.

Interests

I like to try new thing, to be shocked and learn. When I'm at home I go on hikes, bike rides, rock climbing; watch films, read and try cooking/baking new food. I really like cooking. When I'm on holidays/adventures, I want to learn the history of the area, eat the cuisine. To wander around seeing what I can find and do.

Music, Movies, and Books

i really love my books and movies. i remember everything i watch/read; which impressive for me, i forget everyone's names all the time. some of my favourites are The Network, Catcher in the rye, The Hobbit and 10 Angry Men.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a kid my family used to go for pick-nicks at in a small forgot park area in the middle of Wales, near Porthmadog. it was my favourite place in the world because it had a swing in to the river and rapids. But looking back, it was my favourite place because everyone always seemed happy there. That's what i think makes the most memorable moments, great people having a great time.

When i was 12 i was lucky enough to visit Fraser Island in Australia, it's a island made entirely out of sand. On this island these a lake called McKenzie, the sand around this lake is snow white and so fine that you can use it to polish jewellery. The water is slightly acidic, no fish lives in the lake, and it's as clear as tap water. It's was a beautiful day with only a handful of people around. Swimming in that water was like swimming in the air, when then the water became still it was as if I was hovering above the pearly sand. But 10 or 15 meters out the water becomes black. The deep blue of the sky before dawn, there's no transition just white to black. I'm told it's because the lake instantly drops down over a mile, it's perfectly safe, no current or life other than a few turtles the size of a hand. I couldn't swim out in the dark. I knew it was silly, but something was sacred or imposing about the place. Never since have I experience such a beautifully landscape, that made me feel so amazed and uncomfortable.

when I was 19 I visited my brother in New York. The entire city was incredible impressive, but my favourite place was central park. I thought it was amazing how tranquil the park was, yet you could see the bustling city above the tree tops. I guess it's a hint that i'm not cut out for cities, or that Wales has had a bigger affect on me than i thought.
