Hello!

I'm a music teacher, singer-songwriter, and gardener in Boulder, CO. I enjoy practicing meditation and studying Tibetan Buddhism. I give private guitar and ukulele lessons. I enjoy meeting new people. I am considerate, easy going, tidy, and respectful. I've also been involved with environmental activism over the years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's a very cool and human way for people to experience lodging while traveling. I've enjoyed hosting people on Couchsurfing in my apartment when I lived in New Mexico, and had very positive experiences.

I haven't been active as a host for a while, as I've lived in housemate situations in recent years.

I just got accepted to perform at a Jeff Buckley tribute concert in Chicago, on November 16th & 17th, 2025, so I'm exploring Couchsurfing to possibly be guest while I'm in Chicago.

Interests

Music has been my main hobby for many years, although I used to spend a lot of time drawing portraits. I love songwriting, and have self-produced a couple albums. Meditation is an important part of my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was the cook for a 3 & 1/2 year Buddhist meditation retreat in northern California.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hosting a guest is very generous. I'd be keen and happy to return the favor. I have a lot of experience doing odd jobs for people, such as yard cleaning, gardening, weeding, cooking meals, window cleaning, dog walking, etc. Also, if you have an interest in guitar or ukulele, I'd be happy to freely give lessons during my stay.
