Overview
About Me
I completed two years in Senegal with the Peace Corps in November, 2015. These were beautiful, busy, hot years. I worked in agriculture and forestry, and really loved the experience. As any traveller knows, returning from an extended amount of time abroad can be a challenging experience. I have ended up in Oakland, California, a diverse and fascinating city, which just keeps getting better.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We hosted a few surfers in when I was in College in Santa Cruz. All awesome people. I enjoyed couch surfing a few different times around Europe while I studied abroad. This is an amazing thing.

I love being active with stuff like running, mountain biking, hiking and I've been getting into tennis recently. When I'm not doing any of these other things I am probably traveling, reading...

Music, Movies, and Books

Livres: I read too many to list... I love Herman Hesse, John Steinbeck, Jonathan Franzen, William Boyd, and sooo much more. Talk to me about literature!
Music: Like books, its impossible to sum up...I love Radiohead... Air...Otis Redding
Otherwise: My favorite intellectual is Sam Harris.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Kodiak Island Alaska might trump it all. Until I biked across Guinea-Bissau and Guinea.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy people who carry the spirit of adventure and are open minded, thoughtful and reflective. In recent years I have mostly grown away from the loud, boisterous nature of my college years. I appreciate thoughtful, kind people who get their high from things like exercise and learning.
