I enjoy to see into the lives of others, to connect and learn and share and see what there is. I'm also interested in what it's like to live in the places I visit, just wandering around, and would enjoy the perspective of a local.

兴趣

Dancing a lot (gaga), getting into somatic psychotherapy and conscious movement arts. The last year I've also been passionate about - and trying to practice! - nonviolent communication.
I enjoy the water, a good hike or walk or bike ride, often with my camera. I also enjoy the arts in all ways, especially dance, performances, photography or music. My practices are mostly in dance, sometimes photography and occasionally writing.

Books: Favourite from this year is The Overstory (Powers), otherwise I've loved Stranger in a Strange Land (Heinlein), House of Leaves (Danielewski), Labyrinths (Borghes), Demian (Hesse), White Noise (DeLillo); Dictionary of the Khazars (Pavić), Lives of a Cell (Thomas).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Biked over 1000km along the Danube after learning how to ride a bicycle the summer before, never having camped solo, with the rest of the money I had to my name. I got bit by ticks, saw some beavers, and ruined my knees. Camped the last days of the journey on the water at Regensburg, eating big sandwiches, watching musicals, and getting a 5 EUR donation from a concerned grandmother.

In Granada, I met with my new friend Niklas in one of the gypsy caves of Sacromonte, sharing spiced tea and wine with the Senegalese staying there. After dark, we walked down through the old city for a Reggae concert he'd heard about. Along the way we passed through a stepped terrace I'd seen earlier that day, wide open to the sky, where many of the buskers and vagabonds hang out. We found people talking, juggling, spinning batons, playing music and dancing together. Overwhelmed with excitement, we chose to join in - asking one man if we could try his home-made baton, he simply said to us "compartir es vivir." We never made it to the concert.

I think that most of what there is to share would be discovered and come up naturally through walking, talking together.
