Overview
About Me
I am a curious individual working hard to manifest my ideas of a "good life" into institutions that foster collective harmony. I currently work with friends to run a travel foundation, food heritage cafe, local experiences platform, and hospitality enterprises.
Passionate about cultures and economies, especially production processes behind how things are made. I am quite comfortable staying at "home" and chipping away on my projects, but also routinely go on long travels. I do not hold any particular "belief," but I am fascinated by people who have strong convictions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a guest and host on CS, I have met incredible group of people in Kathmandu and in my travels. Today, my friends and I host weekly CS gatherings every Tuesday to meet other CSers and share stories, camaraderie.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love the power of imagination in writing, visual arts, and music.
No other book has left on me as profound impact as "Seeing Like the State," by James Scott.
I find incredible joy listening to qawalis, and enjoy casually listening to post rock, experimental rock.
I watch a lot of movies, but do not spend much time reflecting on them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I started NEPALITRAVELLERS, a travel foundation, with two people I met from the CS gatherings I hosted back in 2012.
NepaliTravellers works to encourage Nepalis to travel in Nepal and beyond. Every year, we provide fully-funded travel grants and support to Nepali travellers who go on solo journeys across Nepal. In 5 years, we have worked with 49 solo woman travellers, and the platform keeps growing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot of random things - facts and perspectives - regarding how things are produced. I can share my travel stories and my experiences as a farm apprentice, natural builder trainee, photographer, entrepreneur, and experiential educator.
If you are a good cook, let me know and we can host one evening of the KTM Food Connections, an event where people gather to cook together and learn more of food system in the Kathmandu valley.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Milk Tea. I make a pretty good cup of tea.
Conversations. You will find out that a lot of things interest me.
Curiosity. I am really keen in getting to understand you.
