I am from Johannesburg, South Africa, and study at the University of Cape Town. I studied Jazz performance for a year in 2013 before changing to Mathematics and Computer Science which is my major currently. I play trombone.

I love hearing about all my new friends' cultures, homes, traditions and trying to imagine their way of life back home.

I am a very independent and understanding person; I never go into situations expecting too much, but rather with an optimistic outlook. I am a non-obtrusive person by nature, so this philosophy carries over into my travelling; I am merely open to experiences that life throws at me.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I feel that a travelling is so much more worth while if you are able to interact with local people and culture on a personal level. Couchsurfing allows you to do that.

Intereses

My passion now lies in music technology, and am going down a path of research in that field.

I am also a musician and have have been fortunate enough to do two month long tours through Europe with the South African youth orchestra called the MIAGI (music is a great investment) Orchestra in 2012 and 2014. This accounts for most of my travelling. I actually studied Jazz for a year.

I am currently pursuing studies there related as an exchange student at UCSD. I have had the privilege to study under a computer music pioneer Dr. Miller Puckette who authored the programming language Pure Data.
