About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live and love well.
ABOUT ME
I want to help others live stable, sustainable, and meaningful lives, as I share my life with them!
PHILOSOPHY:
I love exploring and trying new things. When it comes to people I enjoy thoughtful, teachable, and compassionate individuals who realize this life is not all about what they can get, but the richness of life comes from they can give. I have my beliefs and I know you have yours. I will not force mine upon you and I hope to receive the same treatment. I am always open for discussion and dialogue and learning new things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really enjoy getting to know people and hearing about what they are passionate about, discussing what is important to them, and learning new things. I have found experiencing a place authentically has a lot to do with engaging with and getting to know people who live in the area. I love hanging out with surfers and going to the places they like going to in their hometown and enjoy doing the same for surfers when I host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed in Spain, France and Italy and I've always met great people who enjoy sharing their lives with others. I've also hosted some CSers when I lived in Montana.

Music, Movies, and Books
One of my favorite directors is Wes Anderson, of his films I enjoy The Royal Tenebaums the most. I mostly listen to various forms of indie-rock/folk (Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, Wilco, Local Natives, Cold War Kids, M. Ward, The Flaming Lips, Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Iron & Wine, Vampire Weekend, Black Keys, Spoon, Wild Light... the list goes on) . Some favorite authors include Ray Bradbury, Chuck P., Douglas Adams, N.T. Wright, C.S. Lewis.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably the most amazing thing I have seen was when I was in Ecuador in the summer of 2010, God was miraculously healing people a couple friends and I were praying for. It was truly amazing and awe-inspiring! After about the 6th or 7th person the healings seemed almost natural and it seemed weird if we were praying for someone and God did not heal them (which did happen, of course). God has His plans.

Attempted the summit of the volcano Cota Paxi in Ecuador.
Teach, Learn, Share
Having a relationship with God is just that: a relationship. When you get to know someone you spend time talking, listening, doing things that you like, doing things that the other person likes, but most of all you spend time together. As I've experienced building a relationship with God, it is pretty much the same as it is with people (except for the whole supernatural aspect and difficulty hearing at times). Though after a while I began to realize the things He cares about and likes doing are much more important than the things I care about.
