Overview
About Me
Independent traveler liking to find locals that can show a newbie around town. Keep after myself and don't cause a ruckus. Due to my position as a Company XO for a Division level I'll sometimes only be able to book leave on a short notice, making CS a convenient resource. Born in Texas (that's where my heart acc pride reside), went to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida and obtained a mechanical engineering degree, attended basic officer training at Fort Leonard Wood, and stationed at Fort Carson to present.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Not a fan of hotels and meeting locals makes for an interesting trip.
With last minute trips the availability of camp sites is limited.
Interests
Biking, dancing, tennis, volleyball, running, skiing, off road trail driving, etc. I'll really try out any sport at least once.

Music, Movies, and Books
Most music, listen to whatever is playing on the radio.
Currently reading Uranium Wars, it covers the development of the fission devises used during World War II. Next up is a book on CERN.
Fan of the classic Alfred Hitchcock and Quentin Tarantino.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Road my motorcycle across eleven states on my own in seven days. It covered Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi. Got hailed on, caught in triple digit degree Fahrenheit traffic, went to the Tabasco factory, saw a purple bridge, traveled the highest peak east of the Mississippi River, and nearly ran of the road by modified Japanese cars.
Teach, Learn, Share
Always willing to share what knowledge I have about dancing to include East/West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Country Two Step, Waltz, Cha Cha, and Blues (I'll try but no guarantees on blues due to the user). I can cook some dishes here and there.
Learning the different cultures nested within the country.
I can teach what I know about cooking and bicycle riding.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll cook breakfast if you keep your requests to bacon and... bacon. In rare occasions I'll fix pancakes and eggs too. The sanity in knowing I'm slightly OCD when it comes to being clean and organized. Pretty much my kitchen sink hasn't had a dish sit for more than two hours in it.
