Hi! I am Jasper, a 31 year old photographer from the Netherlands. I used to have my own videoproduction and videomarketing agency, but after working so hard for so long i figured I would try to make 'work' a smaller part of my life.

I am very new to Couchsurfing but heard great stories about it from friends and family!

I love music (I try to listen to a new album every day), movies (naming one favourite is way to hard, but one that really amazed me the last couple of years was Everything Everywhere All At Once), I play soccer and squash, and I play the piano.

And I love the US! The people, the nature, the optimism. In 2022 I lived in New York for a while to do some photography workshops and photography gigs, and in 2026 I am traveling the US for a photo project about independent music venues. I’m starting in Seattle and ending in New York and seeing a lot of cities in between, photographing the amazing passionate people that work in music behind the scenes. And apart from the music I am really excited to see a lot of the nature that the US has to offer.

Published my first Photography book this year! 'Een Adem' is about a Dutch choir traveling to New York to perform at Carnegie Hall.
