Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Talk less (unless it's in a second language), listen more and make music regularly.
ABOUT ME
I Love! I love music and music-making. I love to cook for my friends and self and potluck! I love traveling and being on the road and yet I fully appreciate Home (where ever/whatever that may be). I fall in love too easily (especially with furry smiling dogs and the occasional cat)
PHILOSOPHY
Take love with you where ever you go.
Try things twice, unless it's known to be deadly from time to time, then maybe just try it once.
"Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does." -William James
"What other people think of you is none of your business" -unknown
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
With or without the internet, my doors have been open, but this site takes it to a grander level. Over the years I've shared my bed, couch, floor, car or tent and received the same in good turn. If I'm staying in your space, I welcome the chance to work with you and learn from you. I hope I can leave others with a new song, or way of seeing the world and I would like to discover these things too. I started hosting people in NYC and have continued to do so in downstate NY, and Korea.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Old surfer with New Network. I am grateful for the many wonderful people in the CS community.
Interests
Music and Love (perhaps love is too vague a word, but I find it possible to find something good in most things and people)are the first things that come to mind, good friends and family and in no particular order; traveling, balance (occasionally through probing the extremes , cycling, cooking, trying new foods and ideas, learning from my day and from stories, keeping active and eating well. Good wine (especially red) and dark chocolate. Laughter. good socks. wool. Garlic. Olive Oil. Balsamic Vinegar. Cheese. Peanut butter. Cities. Mountains. Alleys. Valleys. Puddles. Hiking/Camping. Sleeping. Dreaming. Dogs and Cats. Couchsurfing. Soup. the Woods.
I've always enjoyed sitting around a fire and singing familiar songs; so, i'm interested in sitting in new circles learning new songs too.
I would like to meet an infinite spectrum of people and especially other travelers and seekers.

Music, Movies, and Books
I do like movies.
Generally I like acoustic music and folk lyrics. But...Really, Everything from Metalica to Tribalistas, to Yo Yo Ma to John Hartford, to Radiohead. My bands: Boss Hagwon and JasonLiskoLive
I like to read. I tend to keep a couple of books going between fiction and non.
I like to read T-shirt slogans too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen Aurora Borealis from Alaska and N.Y.; the best ones I've known were in Plattsburgh, NY out my back yard and over Lake Champlain.
One thing I've done that I found amazing was to help make Canela (a form of cane sugar) in Ecuador.
I also played Trumpet in a high school Orchestra and Jazz Band at Carnegie Hall. This impresses me now more than when it happened.
Teach, Learn, Share
