ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Jazz, I´m 31 years old and I grew up in an Austrian town in the middle of the alps. After having finished High school, I went to live in Russia in a city called Nizhny Novgorod to participate in a voluntary project. I then finished a master's degree in translation and interpretation studies back in Austria and moved to Paris, France afterwards. I have been living there ever since and found a new passion, which is exploring Paris' underground and being part of its community.

I love getting to know people from different countries, different cultures and with different experiences to share.

Beside my passion for languages, travelling and exploring, I love outdoor sports (hiking, via ferrata, skiing etc.) and I am a big listener of audio books (especially the ones from Franz Kafka, Stefan Zweig or Harry Potter). I also like experimenting with long exposure and light painting.

I would say that I am an open-minded, positive and laid-back person who likes to see the world, meet people and share experiences.

I am happy to meet up in Paris and show you around some cool, alternative spots of the city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first got in contact with CS in Russia. As I travelled around to some Russian cities, I stayed a couple of times at places of couchsurfers. I met very friendly and interesting people. They were very hospitable, open-minded and happy to share some anecdotes of each of our lifes.

The very first time I ever surfed at somebody´s place was together with four friends of mine (I thought that was already quite a lot) but at our host's place we learnt that the five of us were not his only couchsurfers... another six people from Belgium were staying. It definetly was a great first experience for me.

Interests

I love going hiking in the mountains or camp out in the wild, admire the jaw-dropping scenery and just enjoy the quietness of the place. I also do like to find the same quietness by abseiling down quarries or natural caves. The mixture of adrenaline and peacefulness this activity holds is very appealing to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Austrian and German classic novels (as mentioned above, Franz Kafka or Stefan Zweig). Music-wise I do listen to a bunch of different styles depending on my mood.
