About Me

*Please note, I am an expat who moved to Tunis recently. So I do not know much about the country yet*

Me as a Person...
I am a wild horse, yet I do it with calmness. I can't belong to a company, job, system, routine, or stay in one place for too long. Yet I have life time obligation and propose. I like to learn new things, and I love to meet new people. The more different their interests are the better. In that way, I could have the chance for new experiences.
I am outgoing. I like trying new stuff, and I don't say NO for adventures. My curiosity is killing me, but it is my source of energy that keeps me going. After all the more I learn about you is actually learning something new about me. I like to listen more than talk. I like to talk when it brings a smile. I like to smile to share joy. I like to share it because i have it.

As a Traveler...
I hate lonely planet, TripAdvisor, and social media. I arrive in a place and find my way. I believe that the best thing you get in traveling is the unplanned/unexpected/unwanted surprises. all done w calculated risks.
I like to mix with the locals. I called it In-Depth traveling. the far away from tourists the better.
I like slow travel. I don’t have a list of destinations I wanna cross. Nor I believe it’s how big this list gets. I prefer quality rather than quantity. And only with slow travel and staying long in one place you get quality.

My Purpose in life ...
To tell stories. As that’s how we learn and evolve together.
I am a film director and I choose so because I understood how it can help me as a tools of self discovery. The more I work in films the more I understand something new about myself. Its more than just a job.. Its a life style.. Its part of my explorational spirt. It’s my spiritual journey.
That’s why I like CSing. It’s the lace where I meet stories and not just locations.

I lived in the east and west, and that helps trying to communicate between them using TV/Film. and maybe clean up some of what the media did with the images of both.

PHILOSOPHY
All men dream: but not equally.
Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was a vanity:
But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men,
For they may act their dreams out with open eyes, to make it possible - Lawrence of Arabia

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Living is living for others. In my Arab culture hospitality is far more important than god. Being a good host is a duty and an obligation to be acted with joy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

There are way to many good experiences I had with CS. I try my best to pay back by hosting and planning events. Proud to be part of planning CS events in Jeddah , Saudi Arabia back in 2009, which sparked beautiful friendship between us all, and even led to the marriage of two of the coolest CSer I ever met.
