About Me

Hey there guys! I'm just a humble 20-something, looking for adventure and ready to try new things. I currently work in solar energy operations after graduating from Appalachian State University, studying precipitation patterns in the tropical Andes. The research took me on several excursions to elevations well above 15,000 Ft, to the tops of glaciers, and over high mountain passages. It's also forced me to keep up my Spanish and cultivate my love for Latin American culture.

I'm a music festival fanatic. I could be immersed in the positivity, music (especially electronic), and dancing that I've found at the festivals I've been to for days on end. I see no end in the near future for my love of live music, so don't be surprised if the motive of my couch surfing request is to see a show in your city. You're always welcome to come get down with me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel, I want to immerse myself in the culture of wherever I travel to. What better way to do that than to spend my time with someone who actually lives there? And what better way to provide that opportunity to others? Couch surfing is the perfect chance to share experiences, stories, places, and ideas in order to create a more empathetic and interconnected world.

Interests

Running is such an integral part of my life. I use it to meditate, explore, feel healthy, get away... the list goes on.

I love house music and all that it is and stands for. Also... Dirtybird.

Hiking, geography, and running sort of go hand in hand. My Master's in geography made me realize how much of an influence environment has on the people living in it, and how much of an influence the people have on the environment in which they're living. What better way to see this environment than to get outside, whether that be on a hik in the woods or a run through the neighborhood.

I have loved watching the weather for as long as I can remember. What started as a fear grew into a fascination. If I go a day without checking up on the most recent model runs or looking at the radar, something is very wrong.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I camped for 2 nights at 18,700 Ft on top of the largest glacier in the tropics to maintenance my research team's meteorological station.
