About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Listen and learn.

ABOUT ME
Currently working as a consultant all over the world. It's nice but lonely... sick of hotels and missing humanness, places and people with stories to tell :)

I'm sociable and out-going, open-minded. I like hanging out, meeting new people, learning all sorts of stuff. Like most of us here I guess :)

PHILOSOPHY

Do whatever you feel like doing at any moment, live at the edge of your confort zone, as long as you are not hurting or limiting the freedom of others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been hosted by amazing people over America and Europe. Currently I travel a lot for my job. Living in Berlin, but only there a couple of weekends per month, which makes hosting quite complicated at the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Through couchsurfing I've met great people all over the place, made new friends and really enjoyed the travelling experience with locals.

Interests

I like photography, reading, getting in contact with nature, biking. I like to be in the middle of nowhere as well as to be surrounded by the lights and the stress of the city. I studied Biomedicine, and I spent a good amount of my time doing photogrphy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Lars von Trier is my top 1, a bit of Woody Allen never hurts and Xavier Dolan has a promising career (that should help you place me somewhere). All-time referents like Kubrik, Hitchcock, Wilder, Welles, Fellini, and please Burton & Tarantino... they will never die. Best TV-series of all times: Utopia.

Music: I actually like almost any genre. Every sort of music has something special, you just have to learn how to appreciate it. Music is the language of the soul, and souls are influenced by culture. From Classical music to the best Techno, Bossa, Rock, Soul... Björk amazes me.

Books: Shantaram, by Gregory David Roberts. One of the best books I ever read. Again, timeless universal literature never dies. I enjoy from philosophical essays, to adventure and fantasy literature, theater pieces and short stories. Place me between Poe, Hugo, Bécquer, Dan Brown and Zigmund Bauman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I went abroad alone, I did not feel like leaving home, I was 13. I had such a great time... appreciating the beauty of a completely different landscape, meeting different people and learning and integrating in another culture. It's my drug, I have been travelling any time I have got the chance ever since!

I've worked as a photographer in NY, Paris and Milan FW. Sundays at Berghain are my religion. Ruigoord is a magical place. The Costa Brava is a must if you go to Barcelona.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do photography, and also have my way with the digital processing. I like to cook, and now I have a huge repertoire of vegan dishes. We always learn from the differences between us.
