About Me
Hello everyone!
I'm Javier and I'm delighted to be part of this platform. I am a young man from Madrid who has just finished his postgraduate studies and finally has time to travel the world and discover new cultures. For the last 5 years of my life, I have been studying an electronic engineering degree and a master's degree in the same field. I have always taken advantage of my holidays and free time to travel and see different places in the world. However, I have not had the opportunity to do an erasmus program or something similar that has made me spend more than 2 or 3 months in a country that is not the same. Now that I have finished, I can finally dedicate my time to what I want most, to travel and meet people from all over the world!
I am a sociable and active person, I like to do different activities and have interesting conversations. I love nature, excursions, music, movies and series, photography and beer... But above all, I value good company.
I like most sports, during my life I have played football, and now I do crossfit. I love board sports, surfing, snowboarding, wave, skate, etc (although most of them are quite novice).
I hope I haven't bored you with these paragraphs and I'll be able to meet you soon!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
With my travels I seek to bring positive things to the people I know, have a good time in company and that they teach me their way of life and their culture.
Like many of this platform, my motivation is to travel and meet people. The idea of being able to see different parts of the world with people who welcome you and show you their country seems incredible to me.
My second motivation is to improve my level of English. Because I haven't spent long stays anywhere, I haven't been able to practice my English continuously, and although I'm not at a bad level, I lack fluency and practice. I have no doubt that I will be able to practice and perfect it in the different destinations I go to.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a very open person for music, I like many styles and I hear very varied music.
I love cinema, I've seen a lot of movies. To be specific, I can highlight three directors that I like very much: Guy Ritchie (Lock and Stock, Snatch, Sherlock Holmes), Christopher Nolan (Interstellar, Memento, Origen), Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Resorvoig Dogs).
As a third hobby, instead of reading, I would emphasize photography. I'm still very amateur, but one of the things I enjoy most when I travel is photography.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Something incredible I've done...There are many stories to highlight. One of them may be the trip I made with four friends in two vans along the coast of Morocco surfing. It was an incredible trip in which fascinating stories happened to us. We got to know a new culture as well as enjoying incredible places and precise beaches.
Seeing roma at Christmas, walking on a frozen lake in Finland, getting to know American culture in Missouri, travelling Europe by train with 11 friends... All the experiences related to trips I have made seem incredible to me.
Teach, Learn, Share
What's mine is yours. I can teach you to speak Spanish, describe places I've been, teach you card games, songs, movies....
I am currently trying to improve my cooking skills, so I can teach you how little I know, and I am willing to learn different dishes from different cultures.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a hard-working person, I don't mind helping out as much as necessary. I'm talkative and joyful, so I'll try to keep you entertained whenever you need it!
