About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Many years ago I wanted to understand everything, now... I also want to live it :-)
ABOUT ME
I think I'm a gentle lad, often lively and curious, seldom introspective and taciturn. Independent to the extreme. Some people claiming to know me state that I very much like having the last word (and might be well true!) but I shall add that I'm attentive, a good listener and a benevolent companion. I'm kind of true, often naive, sometimes cynical, rarely brilliant, comical on occasion and always love an anecdote!
I love the Sun, the dry air and blue skies of spain inlands and the smell of its summer sea but I can also enjoy the pouring rain, the unforgiving cold and almost all kind of weather :-)
I love meeting interesting people, they can always teach me something ... or prove me stupid (I love the feeling of having a long way to go :-) ).
On the downsides ... I'm a kind of a mess, punctuality wasn't born nor will die with me, I give up smoking every day [update! not anymore!], I cannot stand well alcohol and I might get mildly depressed if I don't get what I want.
In summary I am a kind of 37 years old child.
PHILOSOPHY
Learn and live as much as you can!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I might offer you fellows a guest room, a coach, a nice inflatable mattress... you name it!. I'm kind of independent so don't expect a 24 h host! We can cook, eat, chitchat until late hours, play music, go to some concert, beer around or even trip the light fantastic toe overnight!
Turists are welcome as well as 1-night pass-by travelers. I want nothing but what comes out of you naturally.
As from what I'd like from you hosts ... reverse the subject in the above!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
At the moment I had not participated much! I'm negociating hosting some people here in Munich and dreaming with dropping by some of your houses, time permitting.
Interests
I suffer plenty of concrete interests: physics, music, sailing, languages and their interconnection, history, traveling, eating and cooking, reading, movies (got tired of philosophy many headbangs ago) ...

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite books at the moment are doubtlessly the Aubrey and Maturin series of Patrick O'Brian!
In general I like clear prose, sound thoughts and plenty of anecdotes and data but there are soooo many books which I love that do not answer those criteria! Rayuela of Cortazar, L'Écume des Jours de Vian, a wealth of others...
As for movies I typically love adventure movies, they really catch me even if they are crap... I guess this says a lot about me
And when it comes to music... I love Bach, jazz, soul and funk music (all sorts of black north-american old style stuff typically fit) and lately I buy also a trifle of rock, pop and folk.
On general grounds... I am interested in interesting things
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did an amazing trip round the balkans and back to Munich with an old cabrio and many friends. I was astonished by the beauty of the mountains of bosnia and the character of people there.
Other amazing thing I did two years ago was helming a 12m long sloop through the Bocche di Bonifacio (the straight between sardinia and corsica) with a very fresh breeze by the beam... wow
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a bit of physics and some laguages, play a couple of instruments, compose my own songs.
I would love to know the sea and the winds as an old fisherman and learn to sail safe and long, trimming to perfection!
