About Me
I’m Javier from Chile, was living in Santiago until took the decision to leave my job in Chile and change my life style, starting a travel around the world. My first country in this adventure was Canada, went there on 2014 with a Working Holiday Visa and lived, traveled and worked during a year in different cities. Then, took some time off to travel around Centre America, countries as Belize, Cuba, Mexico and Guatemala that gave me the chance to explore the beautiful Latin American culture, so familiar and near as a Chilean. After getting a second Working Holiday Visa, this time in New Zealand, spend there a year and half, working and traveling around that wonderful and stunning country, with nice people and so near to the nature! From there I had the chance to explore some parts of the Polynesian culture and went for first time to Asia. A few month later I had the chance to move again to another country, Australia. And spend almost 3 years in Melbourne, what an amazing city!!! I loved it. Great coffee, easy to move around by bike, great food, music, and people from all over the world, parks and much more!
And long story short, after exploring south east asia and around, when COVID strike I was in India, so couldn’t go back to Melba… went back to Chile and find my way around with all the madness going on, now that things are “improving” I’m back in the game
I really love traveling, cooking, tasting new food and flavors (I’m a vegetarian foodie), also enjoy knowing about different cultures, dancing, meeting people and sports.
At the same time, I’m part of a very nice project in the south of Chile with a group of friends. Almost 8 years ago, before left my country, we bought a fantastic place between lakes, forests and volcanoes. There, today, there is an growing ecovillage. It is a slow and hard process, but, it’s a beautiful idea and hope that everything will be great! So, when I go back to Chile, there is a lot to do!!!
Hope to meet you, share and have fun.
