About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To encourage, inspire, and learn from all people I meet.

ABOUT ME

I once read in a text book that the Earth is an island. I love that simple statement because it helps me to view our planet as a much smaller place. It is a home we share with many different communities/"villages" that contain a variety of "tribes" and personalities. I really want to be able to explore this "island" and to meet the different and yet not so different people in it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing mainly because I want to meet new people so that I can hear their stories. I believe that everyone has a story worth sharing and that we can learn so much from each other simply by sharing our experiences.

Interests

I truly enjoy learning languages, jamming with friends (I play the Cajon), meeting new people, experiencing new cultures, trying ethnic foods, taste testing different BBQ pizzas, and dancing!

If I were to choose a favorite conversation topic I would choose the topic of my favorite author/speaker Brene Brown. She speaks about the power of vulnerability. (Check out her TED talks, I think they are really thought provoking). :) :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: The Gifts of Imperfection & Daring Greatly both by Brene Brown.
Music: I really like electro, techno, trance, house, etc. I also really enjoy music by Josh Garrels

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkeling off the coast of Madagascar!! Super amazing!! :D :D

Teach, Learn, Share

The main thing that I have to offer is my story. In the eyes of some, I may have not experienced much, but the experiences I do have have taught me a lot about myself and others. Over the course of my life I have become very introspective and I've realized that at times, my reflections about my own life have helped others in theirs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm currently working on a video project in which I conduct interviews in order to document people's stories for the purpose of educating, healing, and changing our world. Therefore, I offer an invitation to share your story, so that your voice may be heard. :)
