ABOUT ME

I am working at the Spanish School Guatemaya (www.guatemayaspanishschool.org). We are a small co-op school, with experienced teachers for all levels of Spanish speaker. We are located in the heart of San Pedro La Laguna, a mid-sized town on the shores of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. The school is committed to improving the social and economic position of the impoverished peoples of Guatemala, especially the marginalized Mayan community.
If you are interested in experience homestay, tell us and we would like to help you to find a perfect family for you with a small fees Q90 per day this price includes 3 meals and one night accommadation, also this price is per person.
We have also recently started a charitable project trek for kids¨. www.trekforkids.org, We help local children through secondary school and University, offering private tuition and financial support, giving them a brighter future. The project arranges hiking tours to a mountain, offering stunning views of the lake and surrounding volcanoes (most still active!).

PHILOSOPHY

To offer the children of San Pedro a brighter future. To make a difference and teach people about the Tzutujil Mayan culture.
