About Me

I mostly spend my days reading books, playing guitar, watching youtube and movies. Lately I have been into self improvement, following a healthy diet, sports, spirituality and leaving my comfort zone. Escapes into the nature are a must, can't go long without that. As an introverted person I usually avoid bustling areas, unless I travel. I prefer one on one communication over big groups and as you probably assumed I like to go into deep conversations on various philosophical topics, so avoid me if you get bored from conversations like this.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I have mention above, I am trying to leave my comfort zone and this gives me a good opportunity. The other obvious reason is to save some resources, have more fun and deeper traveling experience, which can only be achieved by experiencing city with locals.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like different genres of music, but mostly gravitate towards rock, more precisely 60/70s surf and psychedelic rock, shoegaze/dreampop, mathrock and indie. A couple of recently favorite bands and artists: The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Ovlov, Slowdive, Tame Impala, Kaneko Ayano, ssshhhiiittt!, Boris, Radiohead, Dios, Polyphia and the list goes on indefinitely...
As for movies I prefer meaningful movies, the ones that leave you thinking after watching it. My favorite director is Christopher Nolan, I can talk for ages about how amazing his movies are. Honorable mentions: Andrei Tarkovsky, Makoto Shinkai and Terry Gilliam. My favorite movie is obviously Interstellar.
The books I read are mostly focused on philosophy, psychology and theology. As for more story oriented books, I like reading dystopias.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Said yes to a spontaneous trip with people I've just met.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can try to teach you some of the languages that I know, some basic music theory and guitar playing. As I am a bit knowledgeable in computers and IT, I could also teach or help with some of the related topics.
I would love to learn about your story, it also would be cool to learn a bit of your language and culture. Another thing I would love to learn about is your cuisine, so I can help out cooking and learn while doing so.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am not a good story teller, nor do I have a lot of them, but I can definitely lend you me ear and listen to what you have to share. I will definitely bring some kind of snack or a souvenir from here.

Countries I’ve Visited

Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine
