Hello,
I am Jaxom. I am an Oregon State University civil engineering student ('SCO BEAAAVS), with an interest in structural and geotechnical engineering.

Before going to college at OSU I differed enrollment and accepted a bridge year program called Global Citizen Year. The program sends highschool grads to 4 different countries: Brazil, Ecuador, Senegal, or India, and has them stay with a local family in these countries. I'm in Brazil staying with a Brazilian family of 5 with a brother 1 year younger than me.
After my year in Brazil I bicycled with my family across Europe from France to Romania.
My hobbies include soccer (football), running, skiing, biking, rock climbing, and capoeira.
I'm often characterized as the one who knows too many random pieces of information and having a smile on my fave no matter what im doing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The first reason is that I it's always so much more fun for me to visit and get to know new people rather than just visit the regular tourist attractions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived 8 months in Brazil with a host family, working to make artisinal cachaca with my host dad.
I've literally flown around the world. and bicycled across Europe.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can do any sort of household chores asked of me, and I will always keep whatever sleeping area clean (whether you ask it or not, it's for myself XD). I'm always positive and enjoy sharing my adventures. I'm down to teach capoeira. I'm down to run. I enjoy learning and absorbing information.
