Traveling writer and filmmaker learning Spanish while backpacking around Southern Mexico and Guatemala! I have two weeks between leaving Mexico City and going South through Chiapas to Palin, Guatemala, where I will be teaching English.

Beyond that, I love learning as much as I can about the world, implementing it into my art and life, and enjoying every little step along the way. I also love playing sports (futbol, tennis, skiing, spikeball, really anything) and getting active in nature, but an afternoon curled up at home with a book and some good company can often be just as rewarding.

The friends you make in the places you go often color your experience, and I believe Couch Surfing to be a sort of "cheat code" in finding kindred spirits... the type of folks who seek to share their culture and their lives and leave a positive impact on the travelers they encounter for no reason other than the traveler's code: to pay it forward.
