About Me

New Bio, December 2023

I am an Afro-Caribbean guy from the island of Antigua & Barbuda, with a flame for travel and adventure.

When I joined Couchsurfing in 2017, I like many others I was bitten by the 'I am going to quit my job and travel the world' bug. However, my financial and domestic situation at the time did not afford my that possibility.

About a year and a half ago, my situation changed after a life event, and I was free to quit and leave. By that time, I was a little older and a little wiser. You see I never had an interest in being a YouTube Influencer. To me, YouTube was a platform where I could store my videos that I could look back on and share with my family and friends. I have even considered Blogging, and while I have a knack for writing, I could not see myself writing about traveling unless it was in the form of a journal that I would turn into a memoir in my latter years.

My two areas of interest were Spirituality and Culinary; and let's face it, the job prospect for those as a nomadic traveler were not very high. So I decided the better option in my case was to let my investor (aka my job) fund my dream.

Old Bio, April 2017

I am an aspiring traveler, who hopes to one day explore the globe. I am one of those persons who sees the world as my home and not just the country I live in.

I am adventurous, positive, friendly and love to meet fun-loving, positive thinking individuals.

I hope to very soon go on a backpacker's adventure, and hopefully meet a few backpackers along the way. I look forward to creating a network of amazing people here, teaching them and learning from them alike.

Life is short. Let's live it well! Love to all....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a lover of traveling, I joined this site to meet those with the same interest. I find this couch surfing phenomenon to be so surreal, and I look forward to having my first experience and making memories with others from around the globe.
