Hey! My name is Jay and i'm in love with travelling.
I'm born and raised in Sydney, Australia, but I LOVE travelling to experience new cultures and meet new people. I prefer taking the road less taken; in other words, getting away from the tourist path.

I'm currently living in Helsinki, Finland working on a bioenergy startup there and enjoying the nordic culture, and I love meeting new people from around the world.

To meet new people! I also want to experience new cultures, and one of the best ways to do this is to learn from a local! I love hearing stories from travellers and hosts all around the world because it continues to inspire me to see more of the world.

I believe that "taking the road less taken" is the best way to experience a culture more effectively. Simply going to capital cities doesn't necessarily allow you to do this because it is usually much more westernised to make people comfortable to be there. I don't like the comfortable, I like the uncomfortable because that's how you learn, mature, and experience a new culture, because it pushes your boundaries.
